Welcome to La Romieu
We love adventures
and we love history
Our goal is to mix adventure
and history like no one else
We know that some of the people visiting La Romieu are mostly interested in a chilling place to relax and recharge their batteries. This is exactly what La Romieu is – a quiet place with a fair share of tourists that will not drive you crazy.
On the other hand, La Romieu has an interesting history, so more and more people visit in order to learn more about it and discover a unique type of history – over 1,000 years old.
We strongly believe that La Romieu can combine both these types of holidays. It makes no difference if you are here for a weekend, a week or just a day. We will strive to give you a bit of history (the interesting part, of course), the quietness you deserve and some beautiful landscapes. Of course, some of our trips are specialized in one aspect or another, but overall, we try to provide a mix of everything for a more complete experience in La Romieu.
Our main role is to establish a bridge between La Romieu and people who have never heard of it. It is not all about the fact that we are related to the place, but because of the beauty of this place, as well as its fascinating history.
Over the past years, we have managed to double up the number of yearly visitors. It is not all about the place only, but also about the activities, tours, trips and expeditions we conduct. Simply put, we are here to give you an experience that you will never forget.
Meet our dedicated
guides and volunteers

Marc Pierrau
Marc Pierrau has joined our group in 2016. He has spent his childhood in La Romieu, so he knows exactly what he is talking about. He will take you through the old and recent history of the place like no one else.

Ana Martens
Ana Martens is relatively new to our team. She has graduated from a history school and she is now dedicating her time to help others understand the historical importance of this region – not just La Romieu.

Leon Djorkaeff
Leon Djorkaeff is our trip management director. Simply put, he is responsible for organizing everything, meaning he finds customers, he sets trips and adds new itineraries according to our customers' needs.
There is always room
for more if you want to join
Despite our efforts, La Romieu is far from the popularity it deserves. Therefore, if you think that you can contribute to our work, you are free to get in touch with us. We take new guides on board, but we also accept volunteer work. No matter what you are good at, simply get in touch with us using the contact page.
